A highly recmmended program to the incredible area of Sittwe and Mrauk U.

Day 01: Sittwe-Mrauk U (boat)

Upon arrival transfer to jetty and proceed by boat for 72 km about 5 hours journey up river to the last royal capital of Rakhine, Mrauk Oo. (It depends on flight time. We have to overnight in Sittwe if flight arrival time is too late to go to Mrauk U) In the evening arrival in Mrauk Oo and transfer to the hotel for overnight. Overnight at Shwe Thazin Hotel (superior room)  

Day 02:    Mrauk U Sightseeing

Morning visit to Shittaung Temple, a shrine of 80,000 Buddha images, the adjacent Anndaw Thein Temple, Htukkan Thain Ordination hall and the 17th century temple of Yadanar Pone Pagoda and Lay Myant Nar Temple, which was first built in Mrauk Oo period in 14th century AD.  In the afternoon, we continue our visit to the local village, Zee Nar Manaung Pagoda, Luck Say Kan Lake, Bandoo Hla Monastery, Syakkyamannaung Pagoda and sunset at Shwe Gau Taung Pagoda hill.

Day 03: Day trip to Chin Village
 
This morning travel by boat to Chin village of tattooed Chin tribes, making photo stops en route to record their lifestyle and fishing method using nets of bamboo. The villagers make their living by fishing, agriculture and weaving fabrics. Some of the ladies in this village have their faces tattooed since their childhood. The patterns of tattoo on their faces vary from one village to another. You will arrive in the afternoon and spend the rest of the day in this village to discover their agrarian lifestyle and visit small household weaving hand-looms. Lunch with lunch box at the village. And then return back to Mrauk U.

Day 04: Mrauk U – Sittwe (boat) and Sittwe Departure

Today transfer to jetty to take boat back to Sittwe. Upon arrival in Sittwe, directly transfer to the airport for your departure.
